I've been hyped about this cat since Kayo put me up on his EPK three weeks or so ago. We've struck up some cool conversations on Myspace and I am telling you guys this now....

Jonathan Frost got next...the dude's music is remarkably catchy; nostalgic, yet futuristic. It really defies catergorizing and his EPK is getting mad blaze on YOUTUBE...I got this MP3 from him today and you WILL be hearing me bump this in the club.

I get to be around so many talented people. I really am a lucky dude.

This is Eli Chastain.



Eli's relationship started out with me as the 'new dude at Northside News'. I knew he played in Mardelay, a great indie rock band here in 'Nap.

When I met him at the newsstand, he put me up on his hardcore band, Trenches. (They're fucking FIERCE...).

Then today, he played me this song today at work.

His Myspace profile says he is 'working on the album that will make his Mom and Dad proud.'. He's right. He told me today he was writing his 'Heartbreaker'. 'Dumb Dumb Dumb Dumb Luck' is a good place to start. The kid digs Ryan Adams and John Mayer. I ain't mad, at all.

I really like this song a lot and if I didn't I wouldn't have bothered setting up an IMEEM profile. It's that good...made me get on my game. There is just too much good stuff around me. I am so happy to share it with you.

M-Eighty is a dude that I have watched grow from this kid who couldn't wait to rap 897 syllables in a bar into a label-head/deep-thinking cat that wastes no time onstage and no time behind the scenes making things happen. Over the last decade, it has been my pleasure to watch him become the Artist I always knew he would be. His stage-show is energetic, phrenetic, and focused at the same time. He works to the people in the crowd as well as any MC I have seen. His dedication to rocking the shit is formidable, his chemistry onstage with SON-ONE is to be envied...and he'll be selling the shirts in the back and making sure the acts get to the hotel after the show. The cat HUSTLES and I LOVE it.

We cut this song for his album, 'Hymns, Psalms, and Street Songs'. Eighty asked me to come through Dan Metro's spot and get busy. I was happy to oblige. We worked on the hook a little bit, but Eighty's hook was really nice. We changed a few words, subsequently changed the title and came up with a little banger called 'Hot Damn'...

Hey, y'all. Here I Am...

Well, ain't THIS sweet?

I have decided to enter the Blogosphere, feet first. And here I am.

I will be using this to discuss various things I dig and don't, mostly the stuff I dig. I'll also post updates on what is going on in my Life, in general.

The Blogosphere is a crazy world; I made my way here first on the MUDKIDS Myspace page. When I felt as if some of the things I wanted to talk about weren't MUDKIDS-related, I started my own page and started blogging there a bit. As time has gone on and I have read more blogs and written a lotta blogs of my own, I realized that this wasn't something I was gonna stop doing and there were things that I wouldn't wanna necessarily discuss there.

I have recognized the power of the word and I am thankful for any forum to express myself.

I'm glad to be here; big-up to alpha. and my man, Romer for finally pushing me into the Blogspot.

As for Me? Here's what I believe will be the first single from the upcoming MUDKIDS release, 'We Are Dynamic And People Like Us'. It's called 'Love'. I have shot a buncha little videos and stuff; please check out my YOUTUBE channel.
