According to the story, it wasn't their fault...the government made them do it. The clues were placed to break the news to fans gently. The Beatles were a part of a great government plot to control and influence the youth of America and the world and it went astray when they didn't wanna stick to the script....maybe.
What I DO know is that there is no way some of this imagery wasn't planted and placed where it was by coincidence. So you hafta wonder what was going on in 1966. Hmmmmmm.....?

There's a great series of videos on Youtube by a person calling themselves 'iamaphoney'. A lotta the clues are illustrated and shown to you in a really interesting style. I find them very intriguing and the anonymity of the author and his staggering knowledge of this whole 'conspiracy' gives the videos a really creepy feel.
